Ben Strobel

Public History M.A. Program, Middle Tennessee State University

Ben Strobel is currently enrolled in the Public History Master’s program at Middle Tennessee State University and is expected to graduate in Fall 2023. He also received a B.A. in Anthropology from Middle Tennessee State University in 2017.

Throughout his time in the Public History M.A. program, Ben has earned professional experience working as a graduate research assistant as well as a museum collections management intern at the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN. He has also taken part in an archaeological excavation at the Lone Rock Stockade in Tracy City, TN and worked alongside the Beck Cultural Exchange Center archive in Knoxville, TN in order to create an archival collections management policy.

 

As a student, Ben has focused a majority of his research on the topic of Native American appropriation and activism in the 20th century, but is generally interested in most modern American cultural history.
